Thomas Lamson, President and CEO
Tom is a skilled IT and avionics project/program manager, retired Navy Electronics Technician, 14+ year college professor, and experienced Atlassian Administrator. Tom retired from military service after 10 years active duty on submarines and 14 years as a reservist with four mobilizations to the Middle East and Europe.
Because of his civilian experience in project management and cyber security, Tom was mobilized to help organize and train teams of Navy cyber security technicians for missions to safeguard our Atlantic surface fleet and identify bad-actor nations attempting to hack US military assets.
As a member of a multinational task force, Tom worked with EOD personnel in Iraq to reverse engineer IEDs in order to exploit their weaknesses, protect our combat soldiers, and discover the identities of the bomb building cells so they could be brought to justice.
Tom’s technical and leadership experience in both the military and civilian sectors makes him uniquely qualified to tackle any problem, lead teams of highly skilled professionals, and accomplish the mission at hand for his customers.

In addition to his other duties, Tom is an Atlassian Authorized Instructor who conducts official Atlassian courses at the HOS Training Center.

Michael Callies, Vice President – VetsDesk
Michael is a results-driven, energetic professional with decades of experience supporting veterans’ causes. As HOS’s new VP of VetsDesk, Michael will spearhead efforts to help veteran-owned businesses get the resources they need to grow their companies, from managing space and office rentals to helping tenants network their products and services within the community and across the country. He is also on hand to make HOS events like free classes for veterans and Frisco Atlassian User Group (FRAUG) meetings run smoothly.

August 2016

Ethan Vaughan, Atlassian Administrator
As an expert in IT hardware, telecommunications equipment, and physical security, Ethan is responsible for the computer, telephone, and security systems at HOS headquarters. He is also the primary consultant for VoIP phone system setup for HOS clients.
Ethan is an Army veteran with more than nine years of service, including deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan where he served as an EOD Team Leader. After his discharge from the Army in fall of 2015, he worked as a mail carrier for the US Post Office before joining HOS.
While in Afghanistan, Ethan completed a 5K run in a full bomb suit – an event that he and some of the other HOS folks are hoping to duplicate in the future! He also keeps his skills sharp with video gaming and Airsoft.

Ann Caddell, Marketing Consultant
Ann is a technical writer, team lead, and project manager with over 20 years experience in the telecom, financial, and defense industries. She sees her function not just as a writer but as a translator, learning complex technical concepts and turning them into usable, plain English explanations and instructions for non-technical users. In this way, she helps to “bridge the gap” between the high-tech software developers and IT experts and the customers and end users who rely on their products and services.
Ann is excited to be working on HOS’s marketing communications, including website development, social media, direct marketing, and community outreach.

Alton Washington, Atlassian Admin / DevOps Engineer
As a DevOps Engineer with HOS, Alton works with development teams to help streamline and improve their processes with the help of Atlassian tools and best practices. He is an expert in Bamboo, Stash, Fisheye/Crucible, and other development tools.
Alton was raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, and received Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Marketing and Computer Information Systems from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He has worked in the software development industry in several roles. His most recent position before joining HOS was as a Lead QA Engineer at Intel Security. He was an integral part of Agile/Scrum software development teams on development projects for government, consumer, and enterprise customers.
Alton lives in McKinney with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys family activities, golf, poker, and household repair, and is a volunteer Little League baseball coach in Frisco, Texas.

Bryan Aho, DevOps Coach / Agile Engineer
Bryan is passionate about technology and brings his 25 years of experience in Software Development, Release Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Systems Administration to the table to help clients find innovative and cost-effective solutions based on industry best practices. As the global lead of Release Engineering for a multinational enterprise search software company, Bryan and his team planned and implemented the assimilation and consolidation of several release engineering teams related to new company acquisitions.
Bryan has also worked with a large charter school management company as a full-stack developer, Software Development Manager, and SQL DBA. In this role, he managed a successful outsourced project that enabled teachers to take online attendance within their Student Information System, replacing a weekly manual, faxed-paper-forms process.

Renee Crowley, Senior Atlassian Consultant
In addition to being the unofficial  team cheerleader, Renee is a trainer, technical writer, and Atlassian subject-matter expert and admin. Training and writing come naturally to her, as she spent several years teaching college English, tutoring in English and French, working as a technical writer, and managing an online business selling textbooks (yes, all at the same time!).
As a college English instructor, Renee gained extensive experience writing instructions, solving problems, and teaching abstract skills. As a business manager, she handled all aspects of the business, from accounting to marketing to customer service. In the IT realm, Renee routinely trains users in new programs, and especially loves helping users find solutions to their problems using the tools available.
